My Training

I found my passion for health and wellness in 2013 when I started experimenting with natural foods and remedies in order to heal myself from cystic acne, horrible digestion and overall exhaustion caused by stress and corporate travel. As a result, I became a holistic health coach as I wanted to share the power of food to heal + nourish the mind + body with others.

Institute for Integrative Nutrition

I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in July 2015, which is a year long, interactive online class where I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories; everything from Ayurveda, gluten-free, and Paleo, to raw, vegan, and macrobiotics, and everything in between. Many of these I tried out for extended periods of time to see how my body reacted and if it was the right diet for me. It also taught me how to live the “little adapts” lifestyle all while working a full time job and going back to school.

I studied with the world’s top health and wellness experts including:

  • Joshua Rosenthal, MScEd, founder and director of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition
  • Deepak Chopra, MD World Leader in Mind-Body Medicine, Director of Education at The Chopra Center, Bestselling Author
  • David Katz, MD, MPH, Authority on Preventive Medicine and Weight Management, Director of the Yale Prevention Research Center
  • Walter Willett, MD, DrPH, Chair of the Department of Nutrition at Harvard’s School of Public Health and Bestselling Author
  • Andrew Weil, MD, Bestselling Author and Expert on Integrative Medicine and Mind-Body Interactions
  • Gabrielle Bernstein, Motivational Speaker, Life Coach, Bestselling Author
  • Susan Blum, MD, MPH, Functional Medicine Doctor, Founder of Blum Center for Health
  • Mark Hyman, MD, Founder and Medical Director of The UltraWellness Center, Bestselling Author
  • Geneen Roth, Pioneer of Emotional Eating and Empowerment, Bestselling Author
  • David Wolfe, recognized Expert and Bestselling Author on Superfoods and Raw Nutrition
  • Marion Nestle, PhD, MPH, Paulette Goddard Professor of Nutrition, Food Studies and Public Health at New York University
  • Mark Bittman, New York Times Columnist, Bestselling Author

In 2016, Little Adapts By Jax Ltd was born to help people who live busy lifestyles and want to create change by incorporating healthy “little adapts”. My philosophy of “little adapts” allows my clients to gradually instill small, positive changes to create the healthy + happy lifestyle they’ve always wanted.

Barre + Yoga Certifications

Barre

As for fitness, I have always been a big runner and ran my first half marathon in 2013 followed by 6 additional half marathons and the NYC marathon in 2015. However, just solely running wasn’t sustainable as I started to develop injuries and began to try new workouts. Eventually I fell in love with barre. I received my barre certification from Exhale in September 2017 as I loved the way barre transformed my body and increased my strength (which was particularly helpful before my wedding!) I wanted to teach barre as a way to share my love for it and help others reach their own fitness goals.

Yoga

Yoga has always been a part of my life in some shape or form since high school. I’ve always used it as a both a physical + mental tool during difficult periods of my life. I knew eventually I wanted to go through yoga teacher training and finally found the right opportunity through Poe Academy. I received my RYS-200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification in February 2019.
